Three faculties will be launched in Phase 1 of Deraya: the Faculty of Dentsitry, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Nursing. Phases 2 and 3 will feature 6 additional faculties that will bring in additional depth and flexibility to the Deraya experience.
- Pharmacy and Dentistry were prioritized given the popularity of both disciplines within Upper Egyptian society. They also bring in an additional layer of depth to Deraya's academics by affording students with medicinal aspirations the opportunity to enroll.
- Nursing was envisioned as a natural complement to the Faculties of Pharmacy and Dentistry - it promises to capitalize on the academic synergies inherent in both.
