Deraya has engaged the American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE), a well-recognized US Education Department national accreditation agency. AALE is located in Washington, D.C., and is non-profit, non-partisan, and non-sectarian. AALE will assist Deraya in the delivery of higher education that supports its Mission and achieves substantial human development in Upper Egypt.
AALE has in fact commenced its accreditation efforts with Deraya. The comprehensive process is expected to last 3 years at the conclusion of which Deraya’s programs would be fulfilling of benchmarks related to academic content-depth, effective use of assessments, faculty recruitment and promotion, vision and financial standing. Deraya’s team of expert academic consultants across the US and the UK are spearheading this effort.
AALE’s accreditation is of great value to Deraya. In addition to elevating the rigor of Deraya’s programs and the efficiency at which they are delivered, AALE will facilitate cooperation between Deraya and other American universities in areas including: student exchange, faculty training, curriculum development, research and faculty twinning.
